    1. DIY spring bench

F e b r u a r y • Happy February Peeps! Sorry I’m late to the party but I’ve had a full on weekend which including a night out with friends which left us rather exhausted. It’s easy to conclude it’s far harder to recover from a late night when your 3 year old greets you at 2am (he woke up for my parents) and your 7 year old wakes you at 6am. 😂🙈 The reason I’m sharing a garden pic is has anyone else noticed the slightly lighter sky? As I’m now reaming of seating in the sunshine in the garden. Work has started to prepare for the summer by getting the bamboo removed in our front garden and I’ve now got seedlings to prepare. I really want to grow a peony this year – something I always fail at. What are you planning for your garden this year? 🌸 . . . . #home #house #myhome #garden #interior #interiorstyling #interiorinspo #homedecor #homeinspiration #homeinspo #flowers #vintagestyle #howivintage #myvintageabode #interiorinspiration #myvintageabode #myhome #myhouse #interior #howivintage #gardening #furniture #interiorinspo #interiorinspiration #homedecor #homeinspo #homeinspiration #gardening #homestyling #interiorstyling #interiorstyle #inspiring_interiors #original #originalcharacter #cottagegarden #monday #mondaymotivation #hydrangeaseason #hydrangeaflower #outdoorliving #outdoorspaces

No matter what your budget looks like for new outdoor decor, this DIY spring bench featured by @dickson_vintage should fit the bill.

“When doing a DIY project, it’s best to bring out your own personality,” says designer Doreen Amico-Sorell of Sorell Interiors. “If you’re making a spring bench for your outdoor area, then yes, make sure you add all of the iconic spring looks, like pastel flowers—but keep true to your own style while doing it.”

    2. Outdoor soaking tub

We’ve all heard of outdoor showers, but with that chill still in the air, an outdoor soaking tub like this one from @sthelenaca is more our style.

“An interesting concept,” Amico-Sorell says. “And with so many outdoor showers, why not? These soaking tubs are less expensive than hot tubs and almost have the same effect, but best suited for one or two people rather than a group.”

Get the look: Shop this selection of soaking tubs from Overstock to upgrade your weekly bath soak.

    3. Slate-gray planters

You might be thinking you’ve had enough gray for one year—but trust us, you’re going to want a set of these stunning slate-gray planters featured by @thebalconygarden.

“Faux concrete or stone planters are great options for greenery,” says designer Amanda Amato-Scotto of AMA Designs & Interiors. “If you’re investing the time and money to create your own planters, you want the natural beauty to shine, and a pot or planter with a neutral base color allows for greenery and other flowers to really pop. This style planter looks more high-end, too.”

So yesterday was officially a self-care day. I did three things that don’t happen very often. I had a massage, went to an evening yoga class and came home and had a nice hot bath. It was great and made me realise how rubbish I am at looking after myself 🙄 Im too busy running around sorting out the demands of the kids, so I’ve promised myself I will definitely do this more often 😊. . . Anyway, now we are in March and spring is officially round the corner, I’m starting to think about the garden. It does currently NOT look like this, however I’m on a mission this month to get rid of all the winter debris and mould and return it to its former glory 😃. I have some serious cleaning up to do first though !! . . Not enough seating in your outdoor haven? No problem. Just incorporate a few of these textured floor poufs featured by @kylamagrathinteriors.

“Adding floor poufs to your outdoor seating area creates an inviting and casual entertaining atmosphere,” Amato-Scotto says. “Not only are poufs functional to add another seat or to kick feet up, but it’s a way to break up hard surfaces (like decks and stone patios) and standard outdoor furniture.”
