But just as soon as we thought tiny homes couldn’t get any cuter, a tiny house boat floated on to our radar. It’s almost too cute to bear.
Located in Seattle on Lake Union, a whole neighborhood of houseboats bobs up and down on the water, and one of the homes is now up for grabs. It’s only 432 square feet, but this teal-painted houseboat has a lot to offer. For $324,900, the floating oasis offers one bedroom, one bathroom, and spectacular water views.
Many tiny homes can feel a bit claustrophobic—especially when it comes to sleeping arrangements. Lofts serving as bedrooms are often close to the ceiling, which makes sitting up in bed potentially painful,. However, that isn’t an issue on this boat. The loft offers 6 feet in standing room and has enough space for a full-size bed and dresser. It also has a few windows to let in a little natural light.
Elsewhere in the small abode, 14-foot ceilings make the interior spaces feel open and comfortable. The living space has room for a cushy love seat and a small coffee table, as well as some decorative flourishes.
The kitchen has a full-size fridge and oven, as well as counter space flanking the sink. And let’s not forget the tiny deck, which is perfect for taking in those water views.
Unlike most houseboats—and tiny houses in general, we suspect—this one comes equipped with an actual bathtub and hookups for a washer and dryer. So set sail for Seattle, because you can have it all and live on the water in this adorable little domicile.
