“The pictures just don’t do it justice,” says the listing agent, Vilia Kakis Gilles with Sotheby’s International Realty-Carmel Rancho Brokerage. “It’s pretty rare. The unspoiled land offers miles of trails within the property, which has never been open to the public, and includes soaring redwoods.
A buyer with a keen interest in total privacy and truly unplugging may want to make an offer on the property.
But the large offering could also be a corporate retreat, Kakis Gilles suggests.
“Everything is really dialed in to be able to handle large groups. The living room is enormous. You could handle 30 people staying there,” she says.
While inspiration could strike, the setting could also lull any stressed-out visitors into a state of bliss.
“The reason I call it the unicorn of Big Sur is that you have all options covered,” Kakis Gilles says. “If you’re a mountains person, you have those views. If you are a redwood person, you have that setting. If you have an oceanfront person who wants to look at the Pacific Ocean, you have that option. It’s all covered within this offering.”
