Brooklyn church leader Lamor Whitehead, known for a flashy lifestyle and a friendship with New York City Mayor Eric Adams, is selling his Paramus, NJ, mansion.

His home is now available for $2.99 million. At that price, it’s the most expensive listing in Paramus, where the current median list price for a home is $838,900. The pastor purchased the property in 2019 for $1.64 million.

The mansion comes on the market a month after Whitehead reportedly was robbed at gunpoint while delivering a church sermon that was streamed live on social media.

Whitehead, the bishop at Leaders of Tomorrow International Churches in Canarsie, says the armed robbers stole jewelry worth thousands of dollars. Video of the robbery has since gone viral.

Meanwhile, the pastor faces legal troubles of his own. A congregant has reportedly filed a lawsuit against him that claims he defrauded her of $90,000. He denies that this was the case. And he reportedly faces foreclosure on $4.5 million worth of apartments he purchased in Hartford, CT.

Before his days as a preacher, Whitehead served five years in prison for identity fraud, according to the New York Times. The publication also noted that the Brooklyn native has owed money on luxury cars and to a home builder.

The preacher certainly lived large in Jersey. Built in 2014, his 9,000-square-foot home on nearly half an acre features six bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

The space boasts a marble entryway, double-height ceilings, and radiant heated floors throughout.

The main floor features a kitchen with Bosch appliances and a large island. It flows into a living room highlighted by a stone fireplace and chandelier.
