Far from the madding crowds of Los Angeles lies Lake Arrowheada resort community nestled in the San Bernardino Mountains.

Only a two-hour drive from L.A., the scenic spot is a popular, low-key getaway for celebrities, some of whom have snapped up the rustic lakeside cabins.

They include actor David Arquette. However, he’s left his retreat—selling it recently for $1.35 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The “Scream” star had purchased the property in 2017 for $1,285,000. In 2019, he listed it for $1.6 million, then dropped the price in September to $1,465,000. In November it dropped again, to $1.45 million. At the tail end of 2019, it was down to $1.35 million.

“Whether you’re a celebrity or want to live like one, this home has all the luxury features,” the listing notes. The “premier” property is located near other celebrity homes in the Lake Arrowhead Country Club at the eighth tee box.

The 5,000-square-foot cabin has four bedrooms and 4.5 baths. It’s equipped with AC, heated floors, and a generator, and the rustic decor features exposed wood beams, antler chandeliers, and knotty pine floors.

The living room is highlighted by a high, wood-beam ceiling and a river rock fireplace. The chef’s kitchen is equipped with custom cabinets, a Wolf stove, and two dishwashers.

Upstairs, the master bedroom has a fireplace, bath, and huge closet. Three other bedrooms can be found on the lower level.

For entertaining, the living space includes a game room, additional bedroom or office, and wine cellar. The home comes partly furnished.

Homeowners in this mountain resort can play golf at the Lake Arrowhead Country Club, and go kayaking, boating, and fishing on the lake.

A-listers in the area have included Anne Heche, who recently sold her cabin, as did “CSI” creator Anthony Zuiker (who picked up a bigger property). Doris Day, Tori Spelling, Frank Sinatra, and Patrick Swayze also reportedly owned “multimillion-dollar mansions” here.

Arquette, 48, is known for his work in the “Scream” movie franchise and numerous TV shows. He was previously married to Courteney Cox.

Meghan Hardin with Coldwell Banker Sky Ridge Realty represented both the seller and the buyer.
