RuPaul, the host of the hit competition series “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” is serving up big money realness in real estate. The Emmy winner has purchased a huge (and hugely expensive) European estate in Beverly Hills, CA, for a whopping $13.7 million, Variety reported.
Built in 1991, the immense mansion was on the market for $17.8 million in March—so Ru also knows a thing or two about scoring a deal.
The TV personality, 58, born RuPaul Andre Charles, placed his fabulous but smaller midcentury modern abode on the market in July for $5 million. After a price drop to $4.7 million in August, that home has been taken off the market.
With 10,309 square feet, the newly purchased palace offers six bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms on about half an acre.
Enter into a dramatic, two-story foyer, surrounded by grand public spaces, including an elegant formal dining room, living room, soaring ceilings, fireplaces, and parquet floors.
The large gourmet kitchen leads to an office and staff rooms. There’s also a glassed-in breakfast room, and a family room with a full bar.
Upstairs are four bedroom suites, including a luxurious master with a fireplace and outdoor terrace. The lower level includes a media room with a coffered ceiling, a wine cellar, staff quarters, a gym, and a four-car garage.
Outside, lush grounds include a swimmer’s pool, spa, and gazebo.
Since 2009, RuPaul’s show, “Drag Race,” which he produces and hosts, has won him four Primetime Emmy Awards.
Beloved for his messages of love and acceptance, the actor and author also hosts the “RuPaul: What’s the Tee?” podcast with Michelle Visage. In 2017, Time named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world. He’s been busy extending his popular brand with Drag Cons in New York City and Los Angeles, as well as a U.K. version of his popular show.
Myra Nourmand and Michael Nourmand held the listing.
