The former Miami Hurricanes football coach Manny Diaz is letting go of his mansion in Miami. The posh property in the southern part of the city is now available for $7,795,000.

After posting a 21-15 record in three seasons, Diaz was fired from the coaching gig in December. His job was offered to the Oregon Ducks head coach Mario Cristobal, of the University of Oregon, while Diaz was still employed at Miami. Cristobal eventually accepted, leaving Diaz without a job.

Diaz has since moved on to an assistant coach position at Penn State and vacated his home in the Sunshine State.

Since he purchased the home in 2019 for $3,810,000, the Miami native could be in line for a hefty profit if he nets a sale anywhere close to his asking price.

We’ll put his European-style mansion in the “W” category.

Built in 2007, the six-bedroom, 6.5 bathroom spread offers spacious and luxury living. Its high-end details include high ceilings, wrought-iron balcony railings, and eye-catching chandeliers.

An open-concept kitchen flows into a breakfast area, living room, and outside to covered terraces. Other amenities include a billiard-room, bar, gym, formal dining room, and an elevator, as well as a wrought-iron staircase.

Set on almost an acre, the grounds offer resortlike perks, such as a pool with a swim-up bar, a hot tub, and putting green. Outdoor entertaining amenities include a summer kitchen and gazebo.

Diaz, 47, graduated from Florida State University and rose through the coaching ranks before finally landing the head coaching job at Miami in 2019.

In the course of his career, he held assistant coaching positions with Middle Tennessee, Mississippi State, Texas, and Louisiana Tech. He led the Hurricanes to two bowl appearances in three seasons.

Judy Zeder with Coldwell Banker Realty holds the listing.
