Chipper Jones has been busy in the real estate arena. The former Atlanta Braves star recently scooped up a Georgia lake house and listed his Atlanta-area mansion.
Records show the MLB Hall of Famer grabbed the lakeside pad for $3 million in February. It sits on an acre lot in Morganton, GA, and also offers mountain views. It was last on the market in October 2021 for $3.29 million.
Described as a home on “Lake Blue Ridge with a wow factor,” the 5,788-square-foot abode offers plenty of space for guests, with five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms.

The open layout features a great room with a massive wood-burning fireplace and custom bar. The chef’s kitchen has upscale appliances and ample cabinetry. There’s a spacious dining room as well as a keeping room with a breakfast area.
Upstairs are four guest rooms as well as the primary suite, which boasts a fireplace, a walk-in closet, and a bath with a jetted tub, shower, and sauna. The den opens to a screened porch, and the garage has a bonus room.
Other amenities include a second kitchen and a wine cellar. The professionally landscaped grounds feature a boat dock with a party deck, and there’s a garage with a gated entrance.

Located just outside Atlanta, the home measures 23,000 square feet and sits on 37 acres.
Jones purchased the 2013-built ranch in 2018 for $9.25 million. He told the Journal he had decided to downsize.
Known as Painted View Ranch, the property gets its name from walls of glass that frame the vistas of the property.
“No matter which window that [you] look out of, there is a pretty landscape waiting for you,” he told the Journal.
The compound offers eight bedrooms, 11 baths, entertaining rooms, a courtyard, home theater, gym, game room, and crafts room.
The grounds feature gardens, a heated pool, and a pond. Also included are horse stables with a two-bedroom apartment and street lights.
The eight-time All-Star was the Atlanta Braves’ No. 1 overall pick in the 1990 draft. He starred for the team for 19 seasons before his retirement after the 2012 season. He’s served as a consultant to the Braves since 2021.
