Falling squarely into the “All good things must come to an end” category, the Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn and her former fiancé, the New Jersey Devils defenseman P.K. Subban, are selling the posh Beverly Hills home they bought together a little less than a year ago.
Not being one to stand still, Vonn has already purchased another residence in Beverly Hills. It’s a little smaller, at 3,420 square feet, and was quite a bit less expensive ($3.4 million), but is equally luxurious.
When the couple purchased the home they bought together for $6.75 million in April 2020, they were planning on officially tying the knot later in the year.
Instead, they announced their split last December, and appear to be dividing their mutual assets. Their four-bedroom, six-bathroom luxury home recently landed on the market for $7,175,000.
It’s an Italian villa-style hilltop abode with canyon views and the locale is spectacular—even by Beverly Hills standards. Perfect for celebs, it has a high-tech security system and sits on a half-acre gated parcel up a private drive.
White walls, light wood floors, soaring ceilings illuminated by skylights, as well as walls of glass, give the home an airy and tasteful vibe.
Originally built in 1958, the home has been rebuilt and remodeled several times, with the most recent renovation efforts bringing it up to 2020 standards.
The gourmet kitchen, with two generous islands, professional-grade stainless-steel appliances, custom cabinets, and top-of-the-line finishes, is a prime example.
The main suite is a modern eye-popper as well, thanks to a dual walk-in closet and dual bathrooms.
Even guests don’t have to share bathrooms, as all bedrooms in the house are en suite. Most of the bedrooms also feature elegant double French doors leading out to the immaculate grounds.
The grounds are spectacularly manicured and appointed. The private backyard has a number of dining and relaxing areas, as well as a pool, spa, fire-pit seating area, and an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue.
Vonn’s new digs
Vonn is now happily ensconced in her new Beverly Hills bachelorette pad. The home was on the market for $3,595,000, but she managed to snag it for $3.4 million. It has three bedrooms, five bathrooms, and plenty of privacy. It’s set behind a tall, thick hedge and is equipped with security cameras.
Originally built in 1948, the home was recently renovated with high-end finishes throughout. Some of the highlights include European oak floors, Ralph Lauren window treatments, Waterworks bathrooms, and Circa lighting.
The open floor plan, white color scheme, numerous French doors, and floor-to-ceiling windows give the home a light and bright feel.
The perfectly manicured backyard with a pool, spa, and lounging areas looks like the ideal place for a single gal.
Vonn, 36, is considered one of the most successful American skiers of all time. She won four World Cup overall championships, and has won an Olympic gold medal as well as two bronze medals.
She retired from competitive skiing in 2019, and can currently be seen hosting the canine adventure competition “The Pack.”
Subban, 31, is a native of Canada and starred for the Montreal Canadians and the Nashville Predators before being traded to the New Jersey Devils in 2019.
In October, he and Vonn announced that they are members of the ownership group of the Los Angeles-based National Women’s Soccer League team Angel City FC, which will start to play in 2022. He’s reported to be living near his team in New Jersey, while Vonn remains on the West Coast.
