Life is good for the rapper Nas. The hip-hop star, whose given name is Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones, just procured a Calabasas crib for $3.5 million, Dirt reported.

The modern Mediterranean has been on and off the market since 2017 for as much as $4 million, and was last available in September 2021 at auction. Listing details state the opening bid was set at $2.5 million.

Auction success! The appealing property on 10 acres seems to have caused a bidding war, which pushed the price way over the initial bid.

So what did Nas nab? Let’s take a look.

Emcee mansion

Surrounded by mountain views and landscaping, the home, built in 2007, offers four bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, and 6,526 square feet of living space.

You enter through double doors into 10-foot-high ceilings, limestone floors, and natural light from all sides.

A library features built-ins and a fireplace. On the same level, the gourmet kitchen offers granite counters, Viking appliances, a center island, and a butler’s pantry.

Other features include a wine cellar, game room, and office. A lovely rooftop deck offers scenic views.

Set apart on the top floor, the master suite boasts a bath with a steam shower, deep soaker tub, two walk-in closets, attached gym, and private balcony.

Outside, you can entertain to the hilt, with a built-in barbecue, spa, fire pit, and grotto-style pool, complete with slide and waterfall.

Other amenities include an elevator, eight-car garage, wired surround sound, security cameras, and a water-filtration system.

Nas’ neighbors

The emcee could bring out quite a welcoming committee. He’s moving into an A-list area, with neighbors like Kid Cudi, Drake, and Will Smith and Jada Pinkett. The upscale area has also been home to numerous members of the Kardashian family. With just 117 listings in the area, the local housing market is strong, with a median list price of $1,395,000.

The rapper and songwriter, a native of New York, has put out 14 albums, seven of which have gone platinum. Nas, 48, won his first Grammy for his 2020 album, “King’s Disease.” His follow-up album, “King’s Disease II,” garnered a Grammy nomination.
