‘Real Housewife’ Melissa Gorga Slices $300K Off Price of Jersey Mansion

Melissa Gorga is a popular cast member of “Real Housewives of New Jersey.” But her home has proven to be less appealing.

While not quite as dramatic as a reality TV series, the saga of the Gorga home listing goes on … and on. Gorga and her husband, Joe, have been trying to sell their custom estate in Montville Township, NJ, since 2017.

Originally, the couple listed the mansion for $3.5 million. Last year, they dropped the price to $3.3 million, with no buyers in sight.

This week, the mansion had yet another price cut—down to $2.95 million. Perhaps the new number that will move a new owner into the reality stars’ home?

Back in 2009, the twosome had the luxury estate built for them. Let’s go ahead and peek inside.

Melissa and Joe Gorga’s house is on the market.

    Foyer with bridal staircase

    Living room with Juliet balcony

    Gourmet kitchen

    Formal dining room

    Master suite

Located on what the description calls the “exclusive Pond section” of Montville on 2.2 acres, the European-style estate is accessed from a long cobblestone driveway and surrounded by manicured grounds.

From there, the dramatic staircase sets the tone. Walls of glass on the main floor look out to the pool area, with an outdoor kitchen and stone patios. Inside, the layout features six bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms spread across nearly 10,000 square feet.

In addition, high-end features include a two-story great room with a Juliet balcony, a gourmet kitchen, billiard room, and library. Ornate moldings and trim, custom paint colors, and light fixtures decorate throughout.

Upstairs, a large master suite and four additional ensuite bedrooms can be found. Then, head down to the more modern lower level for the gym, salon, screening room, glassed-in wine cellar, and bar, as well as a recording studio and play area.

Plus, Melissa “completely designed everything that’s inside of it,” as she said on an episode of “Open House.” So why would she sell this labor of love?

While rumors have swirled around the reasons that the Gorgas wanted to shed their custom mansion, Melissa has denied having financial troubles. Instead, she told ET that she’s moving for her kids.

“I know, everyone’s so baffled when I want to put my house on the market,” she told ET in 2017. “It’s nothing crazy! I’m just trying to get a little closer to where my children are gonna go to high school, if that makes any sense.”

Makes perfect sense to us. Perhaps the lowered price will also make sense to a buyer.

    Michele Kolsky-Assatly holds the listing.
