NBA star Josh Richardson is looking to score a buyer for his $11.5 million waterfront mansion in Miami.
Now with the San Antonio Spurs, the 28-year-old is cutting a major tie to South Florida by selling the home he bought for $4,150,000 in 2018, when he was playing for the Miami Heat.
The list price reflects the sky-high demand for homes in South Florida, and Richardson stands to make quite a payday.
The waterfront home offers views of the bay and the downtown skyline.
The 5,309-square-foot home has seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms. It comes with 240 feet of water frontage.
The contemporary build includes a great room, eat-in kitchen, formal dining and living rooms, and a home theater.
The primary suite includes a seating area and opens out to a covered terrace. A second-floor deck overlooks the pool and yard, which includes a basketball hoop.
The half-acre lot boasts an infinity pool with a sundeck, fire bowls, a kitchen, grassy lawn, and dock. An elevator, security system, and three-car garage complete the property.
In early 2020, Richardson talked about his Miami home and the iguanas he found residing in his backyard. When the COVID-19 pandemic suspended the NBA season, Richardson went to Miami and holed up at this mansion. Those iguanas—which he named Terry, Mary, and Larry—made appearances on his Instagram feed as he waited out the quarantine in style.
Located in the guard-gated community of Keystone Point Islands, the home is close to Bal Harbour shops, restaurants, and beaches.
Richardson, an Oklahoma native, has had a busy career. He played college ball at the University of Tennessee, and in 2015, the Heat selected him 40th overall in the NBA draft.
In 2019, Miami traded Richardson to the Philadelphia 76ers. He then bounced around to the Dallas Mavericks and the Boston Celtics before joining the Spurs in early 2022.
