    With Unemployment Twice As High As The Great Recession’s Peak, Rents Have Further To Fall

    New York City’s unemployment rate rose from 18.3% in May to 20.4% in June 2020, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which is twice as high as the Great Recession’s peak unemployment rate of 10.4% in December 2009.
