Year round entertainment is provided with the areas festivals and special events. The International Snow Sculpture Competition is held the last few weeks of January. Stomping week also takes place in January.
The Mardi Gras Ball and parade is held in February and in July sparks fly with fireworks, live music at the Riverwalk Center and BBQs. August features the Genuine Jazz and Wine festival at Maggie pond. In September, leaf season begins and people from near and far come to watch the trees turn gold.
